Program Description

The PEAK Producer & Executive Fellowship (PPEF) will give young, aspiring producers and development executives the tools needed to obtain a job at a production company, studio, or network by teaching them to identify projects they can take with them to future companies, as well as begin the process of building foundational professional relationships and skills. The program will feature masterclasses, workshops, and intimate sessions with high-level executives, agents, and talent to train participants in the art of communication, networking, leadership, project development, as well as other skills needed for making the jump from assistant to executive in the entertainment industry.

Founded by PEAK Board Member, Producer, and Development Executive Averie Joy Maikalima O Makua Huffine, this is the only producing and development focused program in Hollywood created and run by a Pasifika executive.

Culmination:

By the end of the program, participants should have a solid and professional resume; have the networking skills to connect with and navigate corporate and creative staff; be able to find and identify potential projects; deliver an effective and clear notes document; create writer and director lists; and have a grasp of the current TV & Film marketplace.
